A "meet-up" event for those who plan to attend. The Rhinebeck Car Show is very popular and unofficially marks the start of the car show season for the Hudson Valley. Club member, Gene Manelski, has arranged to hold May‘s monthly breakfast meeting at the Bernard‘s Cafe in Bernardsville, NJ, located at 8 Mine Brook Rd (AKA Route 202). Limited street parking, but it is suggested to park in the train station parking lot just south of the restaurant (short walk).
In addition, immediately after breakfast, we plan to visit The Stable, LTD in nearby Gladstone, NJ. The Stable maintains a collection of fine exotic, antique and special interest cars that are for sale and also offers servicing. Of special interest to Alfisti, they plan on having a 1954 Alfa Romeo 1900 CS on hand during our club‘s visit. The Stable is located at 217 Main Street, Gladstone.
Come join your local chapter for our monthly breakfast gathering and for the visit to The Stable.

This venue is a horse farm that is operated as a charitable organization dedicated to promoting mental health through interaction with animals.Entry price per car is $25.00 and is payable at the event. In addition, several meeting points have been identified so that interested parties can join in a spirited caravan drive to this event. A tech session hosted by fellow chapter member and professional mechanic Jeff Greenfield. The topic(s) of the session will be finalized the week before based on attendee interest. Currently contemplated: common wear items (and checks as part of routine maintenance) and brake pad change/adjustment. Limit of 20 people due to the size of the space. Coffee and donuts to be served. $5.00 pp voluntary contribution to help offset the cost. Group lunch to follow at a local restaurant followed by a visit to a local attraction or town – both optional. For privacy reasons, the exact address and directions will be provided to registrants the day before the event. Rain date: June 9, 2024.
This year the NWARC tour will join the University Place Garden Tour on June 8, 2024.
University Place is located west of Tacoma. We will meet at 10:00 am at the Curran House & Museum. I will plan a late lunch location following the tour. I recommend spending
about 2.5 hrs for the tour. We can tour as a group or go on your own. All gardens are within 5 miles of each
other. Addresses are only available the day of the tour, but I happen to know most of them and you won’t be
disappointed.
We will visit six lovely gardens to view with a variety of presentations including lovely views, landscaping, art
work, containers, and plant collections. Enjoy a collection of species Rhododendrons, bask in beautiful sound
views, experience how native plants can add to your garden, see how using containers can accent your
garden, and get ideas to add for your own garden.

This tour benefits the restoration of the Curran House and Museum. Recognized as a fine example of Modernism,

This 2-night tour will be heading to two McMenamin’s Lodges. First up is the Gearhart Hotel on the coast. We will journey thru some nice West Salem country road then over Bald Mountain Road to the coast with a BYOB picnic lunch at Hebo Lake. Thereafter, we stop at Cape Lookout and Cape Meares with an anticipated ETA at the hotel by 3:45 or 4, allowing time for a long walk on the beach, happy hour and dinner at the hotel.
Next destination is the Kalama Harbor Lodge located on the Columbia River. Our route will take us along parts of 101 in Washington, lunch at Olympus Brewing in Aberdeen, then mostly back roads until we near Kalama. Arrival ETA is around 4:30. These are pretty easy drives each day.
You should book your rooms via McMenamin’s webpage and clicking on the Gearhart Hotel and Kalama Harbor Lodge. I would suggest making reservations early, as mid-June is a busy tourist time.

MVP Track Time’s inaugural 2024 Hedge Hollow track event is set for June 15-16, 2024. I hope you’ll join us in sunny Adrian, Missouri (just 60 miles south of KC) for the on-track fun on one of America’s newest racetracks. Drive your car on the track.
MVP’s goal remains the same since we began in 2006, offering you more actual track time at each event for less money. Our run-group format offers you maximum driving time (2+ hours of scheduled daily track time) instead of standing around the paddock. We will send you home with your track fill.

The 2024 Alfa Wannabe Tour will take us to three National Parks and will feature 5 old lodges and 2 very old hotels, all on the National Register of Historic Places. The tour will be 12 days in length.
This tour is limited to 19 couples due to limited rooms at one remote hotel.
We still a FEW spaces left for this 2024 tour.
Unlike some earlier tours, you need to book your own reservations at each lodge/hotel. More work for you but you gain added flexibility to cancel up to a week or so before the event (in contrast to rooming contracts).
This late, you may not be able to secure lodging at each resort/hotel, however, I have listed alternative lodging relatively close to each that would allow you to partake in all the planned activities.
If you have interest in joining this tour, you should call all the lodges/hotels and make your reservations. If you do get rooms, then let me know so I can add your name to the tour list c/o tomsredalfa@gmail.com.

This is the chapter‘s official "meet-up" event for all AROC members who plan to attend the Bear Mountain Cruise Night. The show typically attracts 600 - 800 cars. Parking is on a grass field surrounded by spectacular scenery. Food is available at the venue. Arrival is recommended no earlier than 4 pm and no later than 6 pm. $5.00 park entrance fee, payable at the gate.

The Great Car Show is a benefit car show in support of the Kansas City Automotive Museum. Each year, this event features hundreds of vehicles from all over the Midwest and welcomes thousands of visitors.

Any history buffs out there? Interested in following in the steps of the Lewis and Clark Expedition from Kentucky to Oregon? If so, this tour may be for you.
I have been working on an auto tour that would follow, as close as possible, their epic adventure to the Pacific Ocean. After a couple of years of research, I have come up with what I think will be a very interesting and informative tour focusing primarily on Lewis and Clark while incorporating a number of Native American sites as they often played a critical role in the success of the Expedition.
The tour will incorporate stops at 200 +/- interpretive centers and historical sites. The tour book includes narrative, as well as quotes from Lewis and Clark Expedition members specific to the sites we visit as well, as detailed day-to-day driving instructions. I have tried to limit “seat time” to between 4 and 6 hours.
I have identified lodging and dining facilities along the route. You will be making your own lodging reservation and paying for your own meals. That being said, I will have reservations made where necessary for dinners and will pre-order to-go sandwiches to facilitate a more efficient lunch experience.
Tour will depart Salem/Portland on Sunday September 1st with an expected arrival in Kentucky on September 5th. This will be a more or less straight shot to get to our starting point. The official Lewis and Clark Trail Tour will start Friday, September 6.
This will NOT be a sports car tour. There will be some gravel roads. While an SUV might be ideal, a regular passenger car should do fine as long as you do not mind some non-paved roads.
Tour is limited to 10 cars due to logistics.

Any history buffs out there? Interested in following in the steps of the Lewis and Clark Expedition from Kentucky to Oregon? If so, this tour may be for you.
I have been working on an auto tour that would follow, as close as possible, their epic adventure to the Pacific Ocean. After a couple of years of research, I have come up with what I think will be a very interesting and informative tour focusing primarily on Lewis and Clark while incorporating a number of Native American sites as they often played a critical role in the success of the Expedition.
The tour will incorporate stops at 200 +/- interpretive centers and historical sites. The tour book includes narrative, as well as quotes from Lewis and Clark Expedition members specific to the sites we visit as well, as detailed day-to-day driving instructions. I have tried to limit “seat time” to between 4 and 6 hours.
I have identified lodging and dining facilities along the route. You will be making your own lodging reservation and paying for your own meals. That being said, I will have reservations made where necessary for dinners and will pre-order to-go sandwiches to facilitate a more efficient lunch experience.

Any history buffs out there? Interested in following in the steps of the Lewis and Clark Expedition from Kentucky to Oregon? If so, this tour may be for you.
I have been working on an auto tour that would follow, as close as possible, their epic adventure to the Pacific Ocean. After a couple of years of research, I have come up with what I think will be a very interesting and informative tour focusing primarily on Lewis and Clark while incorporating a number of Native American sites as they often played a critical role in the success of the Expedition.
The tour will incorporate stops at 200 +/- interpretive centers and historical sites. The tour book includes narrative, as well as quotes from Lewis and Clark Expedition members specific to the sites we visit as well, as detailed day-to-day driving instructions. I have tried to limit “seat time” to between 4 and 6 hours.
I have identified lodging and dining facilities along the route. You will be making your own lodging reservation and paying for your own meals. That being said, I will have reservations made where necessary for dinners and will pre-order to-go sandwiches to facilitate a more efficient lunch experience.
Tour will depart Salem/Portland on Sunday September 1st with an expected arrival in Kentucky on September 5th. This will be a more or less straight shot to get to our starting point. The official Lewis and Clark Trail Tour will start Friday, September 6.
This will NOT be a sports car tour. There will be some gravel roads. While an SUV might be ideal, a regular passenger car should do fine as long as you do not mind some non-paved roads.
Tour is limited to 10 cars due to logistics.

This is a non-competitive, follow-the-leader rally along some of the Hudson Valley‘s most scenic and driver-oriented roads, with stops at unique points of interest and a group lunch. Staatsburgh State Historic Site
A "meet-up" event for those who plan to attend. Located on the grounds of a Gilded Age mansion (the Staatsburgh State Historic Site, f/k/a Mills Mansion, in Staatsburgh, NY) on the banks of the Hudson, this show usually gets well over 500 cars and marks the unofficial end of the Hudson Valley car show season. Attendance will be coordinated with the Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York City/Long Island and New Jersey Chapters to try to form an AROC parking section on the field.
