AROO (Oregon) - Lewis & Clark Trail Tour LEWIS AND CLARK TRAIL TOUR, SEPT 1-21, 2024 Any history buffs out there? Interested in following in the steps of the Lewis and Clark Expedition from Kentucky to Oregon? If so, this tour may be for you. I have been working on an auto tour that would follow, as close as possible, their epic adventure to the Pacific Ocean. After a couple of years of research, I have come up with what I think will be a very interesting and informative tour focusing primarily on Lewis and Clark while incorporating a number of Native American sites as they often played a critical role in the success of the Expedition. The tour will incorporate stops at 200 +/- interpretive centers and historical sites. The tour book includes narrative, as well as quotes from Lewis and Clark Expedition members specific to the sites we visit as well, as detailed day-to-day driving instructions. I have tried to limit “seat time” to between 4 and 6 hours. I have identified lodging and dining facilities along the route. You will be making your own lodging reservation and paying for your own meals.
