The annual tour organized by garden expert Debi Schmid is always a wonderful chance to see gardens that are unique and inspiring. This year‘s tour will be on scenic Whidbey Island. Participants can take the 9:30 Mukilteo ferry, then meet in Clinton at the ferry Park and Ride lot. We‘ll gather there and begin the drive at 10:15. Tony and Debi will lead us on a drive to visit two private gardens, then drive to Useless Bay for a catered lunch. Lunch will be $22 per person, and please bring cash for the lunch. Then we‘ll head to Coupeville to visit two more gardens. Plan for an optional stop at Greenlake Farm for a wine tasting before returning to the ferry. Please RSVP to Debi: debischmid@yahoo.com or text her at 253-310-8015 so we have a correct count for parking and lunch.

Parking there on Saturday or Sunday puts you close to the action and allows you to drive on the track for parade laps. Car corral tickets MUST be purchased ahead of time online, and spaces are limited. The corral ticket includes spectator admission for the driver. Italian Car Day is part of Redmond Town Center‘s Exotics Car Show season, the largest weekly car gathering in the U. S. Italian car day is an annual event showcasing Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Alfa Romeos and other Italian marques. Don‘t miss the exotic and rare cars on display from 9-11 AM. Following the show, NWARC members will gather for a monthly meeting and lunch at the excellent Italian restaurant, Zio Sal, which is also in the Town Center.

Join Paul and Kristy Affolter for another wonderful drive, featuring Alfa spiders as the star. Other cars are welcome to join at the end of the spider lineup. Chapter president and expert tour developer Fred Russell has planned a drive to the national convention in Ogden, Utah. Departing from south of Seattle, we‘ll drive to the Portland area to meet up with AROO friends. Then the drive will follow the sort of great driving roads Fred is so adept at finding, through Oregon, Idaho, and Utah. With two overnight stops along the way and several restaurant breaks, the trip will be interesting and fun and there will be time to socialize and enjoy the scenery. The route will include many of the areas featured on the convention pre-drives. We will arrive in time for the convention welcome party in Ogden. Sign up and hotel registration details will be provided later.
