On Wednesday, May 14th we invite all our sport driving friends to join us for an afternoon/evening of spirited driving, camaraderie, and good times. This is a late afternoon HPDE event being held at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA. This is an open lapping format designed to provide club members and non-member guests the thrill of driving their beloved Alfa Romeos and all other vehicle types in a "spirited" manner on a closed road course. This event is open to all experienced drivers and dinner is provided. Previous sport (track) driving and HPDE experience is required as a prerequisite for this event. It is critical that you have verifiable credentials from NWARC, Proformance Racing School, or any other reputable car club/organization for "solo driving" in either Low Intermediate, Intermediate, or Advanced run groups. At a minimum you must have solo sign off at Pacific Raceways. If you are not sure whether your current experience level qualifies you for this event or you have on-track experience that is not documented on Motorsportreg.com, please do not hesitate to contact the Event Registrar. Instructors are encouraged to attend as we will have newer drivers that will need your help. We really want instructors to enjoy driving at these evening events too. Once again we will converge on Watkins Glen International for 3 paced laps of the full circuit followed by a late dutch treat lunch afterwards. You must purchase a ticket in advance at the site sent to all chapter emails. You must be at Gate 2 at 11:30 sharp to lineup

The NWARC Driving school at Pacific Raceways is the perfect gift to give yourself or someone you care about. Offering just the right combination of fun, challenge and learning, it offers you the unique opportunity to experience the capabilities of your car in a safe and controlled environmenit. Experienced and new drivers alike will benefit from the coaching and guidance of NWARC club experts in order to build skills in car handling, the proper use of ABS brakes, emergency stopping, collision avoidance techniques and decision making. The objective is to have fun, be safe and learn techniques to better control our vehicles on the road. In-car coaching is provided by expert volunteers. All participants must have a valid driver’s license or valid learner’s permit, and proper driver safety gear. There will be a lapping event in the afternoon. There will be a group for advanced drivers and participating instructors, and a novice group for drivers over 18 who participated in the morning car control clinic.
