Grounds For Sculpture is a year-round, 42 acre New Jersey-sculpture park that invites you to unwind, explore and connect in ever-changing art-filled gardens. Our club visit to the park is scheduled for Sunday, 9/21 with a rain date of 9/28. Entrance to the park is based on a timed entry (1/2 hr slots) so that traffic congestion is kept to a minimum. Our plan is to secure the 10:00AM time slot so that we avoid the crowds and ensure that we can park our cars together. So that we can all arrive at the same time, we will meet at Colonial Park in Somerset at 08:30, have a complimentary coffee and simple breakfast treats and then depart at 9:15 on a scenic route to the GFS in Hamilton, NJ. If you prefer to travel on your own from other locations, you can meet us at the park at 10:00AM. The entry time slot is required and must be reserved at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure availability, and therefore, please register for this event as soon as possible so that we can make the reservation for the group.
Ticket Prices: •$25 | Adult (18+), •$18 | Senior (65+), •$12 | Student (6-17 or student ID). To simply obtaining the tickets, they will be purchased for the group and your payment will be collected on day of event.
GFS Accessibility: The duration of our visit should be 2-3 hours and consists of walking to each exhibit. For those with limited mobility, GFS offers Access Mobile Tours. These vehicles are ADA-rated that can accommodate a maximum of five people or four people and a wheelchair. This is a 45-minute tour of the grounds. Advance reservations are highly recommended. This is included in the price of admission. A major portion of the park is accessible by wheelchair. See map at "gfsmap.org" for layout and pathways of the park. For any members having a trunk the size of a shoe box, I will gladly transport wheelchairs in my 164 taxi Cab.
Luncheon at the end of our visit is planned at a local restaurant at approximately 1:00PM
